Youth Fest has come and gone, with a total of 700+ teens and workers/youth leaders. It was a long, exhausting and freezing day!
I only attended after the lunch session due to my ankle, it was still alot though, my ankle was very sore by the time we returned home.
We left our apartment by 7am and did not return home until 8pm mostly due to traveling distances, rounding up our teens, and a much needed meal stop at McDonalds! Needless to say we were pretty beat by the time we returned home!
We took a total of 9 teens plus three workers. We squished into two vehicles and drive down! Our van listened and sang to the oddest line of songs, from Disney, to Piano Guys to Celtic Woman to Christmas Carols! Lol
I hope our teens had a great time!
I probably should explain to newer readers what Youth fest is! It is hosted by my home church, Central Baptist Church. They set up carnival games all over the church property and invite hundreds of teens. Preaching is at different times between game sessions. The carnival games themselves stretch from paint ball, to strong man competitions, to darts, to go karts, to obstacle course, to dodgeball leagues to classic carnival games and booths. Youth Fest has been held annually on Columbus Day since 2009.
