About Me

My name is Rebecca! I am in my 20s, and married my best friend in 2011.
I have a passion for photography, reading, blogging and of course spending time with Justin!

About my Blogging- I have been blogging since 2008, I used to write at A Rather Unusual Maiden for God, and a few months after I got married I started this blog- Butterfly Days! I have had a few failed side blog attempts... and a few successful ones! The Perfection Deception was started to combat media and society's preachings on what a person must do to "fit in" and be acceptable as "normal".   Before The Veil began as a weekly dating/wedding/marriage blog by the requests of a few friends of mine, its all about relationships from the newly wed perspective.

About my Health-

I suffer from Anxiety and Panic attacks- you can read more here

In 2011 I fell while hiking, and badly twisted my left ankle. The injury was incredibly stubborn at healing and it later developed into tendinitis. Due to the ankle's weakness I have re-injured it several times since the initial fall. I have had 12 weeks of physical therapy, doctor visits, an x-ray and an MRI. As of early 2013 I have re-twisted it again but it seems to have somewhat recovered.

In 2012 I was diagnosed with PCOS- Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common female endocrine disorders. PCOS is a complex, heterogeneous disorder of uncertain etiology, but there is strong evidence that it can to a large degree be classified as a genetic disease.[

In 2013 I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease
Hashimoto's is a chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis is an autoimmune disease in which the thyroid gland is attacked by a variety of cell- and antibody-mediated immune processes.

In October of 2013 I was diagnosed with two herniated discs in my lower spine (L4 and L5), I was given an epidural injection to decrease pain.

In late 2015 I started vomiting 2 to 3 times a week. I made many changes to my diet thinking that was why I couldn't keep meals down. Turns out I was suffering from migraines! I started a a medicine for the migraines in the summer of 2016 and the vomiting stopped for a few months.

It's 2018 and the vomiting has decreased but not entirely stopped. I am still taking the migraine medication. I will experience a few weeks of respite but occasionally experience a 3 day episode of vomitings.

I'm the oldest child in a family of 10! That's right- 8 kids!
I have 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Growing up in a large family was awesome and chaotic. I feel so very blessed to have a great big family to love and to be loved by.
