Fall, Life and Books!

Hello readers!

Life has been interesting the past two weeks, Justin and I both came down with colds, our dryer broke AGAIN and our kitchen sink is leaking...

Fun, fun, fun!

I also did my little brother's engagement portraits and I'm currently editing them. Collin and his Fiancee are way too cute- my goodness. Brings back memories of my engagement. Ah, the young puppy love stage :) it is simply too cute! I am so beyond excited about my brother's upcoming wedding. Sarah is so very sweet and she fits in with our family incredibly well. They definitely belong together!

Our weather went from gorgeous to yucky. Mildly warm and humid. Personally I want my cool fall days back ASAP! The leaves here are getting so beautiful though, some really rich colors are starting to appear. It still is mostly green with mini explosions of red, orange and yellow here and there.

Justin deep cleaned our home last week and it looks beautiful. Still have a bit more decluttering to do but we are making progress. I am so very thankful that my husband takes pride in running our home while I am dealing with this back pain. He is also an amazing cook and I am so very thankful for that as well!

I have been doing counseling with my pastor on a twice-a-month basis. It has been a blessing. I did try to start going back to church again but the pews are just not good for my back. We are trying to find another option for seating for me. In the mean time I still have the anxiety to deal with. I wish I knew what triggers the panic attacks when it comes to church. I am thankful though for the support of my church family. It is very precious- Don't EVER underestimate what a kind word, note or card to a fellow member of your church can do especially in times of trials or illness. I highly encourage you all to send a card to somebody you know this week.

October is here and I want to do a "Booktober" theme (lame name I know! lol) I will be posting some book reviews during this month and if you would like to write a guest post book review or even write posts for "Booktober" on your own blog email me! (my email is on my Contact Me page) I have a pre-written book interview if anyone is interested :)

I hope you all have a great day!

Love, Rebecca

These photos are probably what you have all been waiting for! The beautiful tropical and coral reef fish :) I decided to save the best for last so I hope you enjoy this final post of photos from our trip to the aquarium.

Sturgeon fish- such a lovely shade of yellow!

These glass sculptures swayed in the water ever so slightly.

Look at this beautiful Copper Banded Butterfly Fish!

So pretty and peaceful.

I really enjoyed this tank,

On to the BIG tank- this one went from floor to almost ceiling and was very wide.

Hey look Dory and Marlin! lol

The beautiful clown fish tank, it was hard to get a good photo of them.

Such crazy little sea creatures...

Here is an upside-down jellyfish.

The sea horses are always a personal favorite of mine,

They are just so dainty and cute.

Sting ray tank!

The one on the left was huge

That wraps up all my photos from our anniversary day-trip!

Trades of Hope

Hi readers! Guess what I did this weekend? I got out of my comfort zone and hosted a party. I had alot of help from my husband, mother-in-law and my sister-in-law with getting everything ready and I am so so grateful for their help. I could not have done this myself!

The beautiful display the Yesse set up

I thought the owl shaped wooden coasters were adorable!

Justin and my in-laws made some delicious finger food.

Yesse talking to my husband's aunt, Grandma and a lady from our church.

Mrs. E won the raffle games!

I recieved this beautiful coin purse as a gift for hosting. The scarf I am wearing is also a Trades of Hope item. It was kinda chilly so Yesse let me borrow it and "model" it lol.

Yesse talked about how Trades of Hope helps women all over the world to get out of poverty and take care of their children. She told us about the horrible practice in some cultures of men throwing acid onto their wives faces, burning and disfiguring there poor women for life. Trades of Hope has helped woman that have been burned still be able to earn a wage and take care of themselves and their children.

During the party my mother-in-law's cat was snoozing

And right toward the end it started pouring!

Jessica being an absolute sweetheart and walking a lady to her car with the umbrella!

I wish all of my lovely readers could have been there too!  But the party isn't over!
The online shopping will stay open until Saturday, September 20th! If you would like to you can shop online!

I would also encourage you all to consider booking a party in your area and inviting your friends. Helping women out of poverty and bad situations is a passion of mine and I pray that many women will be blessed through this. You can read more about Trades of Hope HERE

With much love, Rebecca

Mystic Aquarium- Part 2

At Mystic Aquarium there is an exhibit that has various types of parrots that you can interact with!

Look at this adorable Budgie!

We were given these little sticks with Millet attached to the ends.

This Parakeet really liked Justin!

It took a while but a parakeet eventually landed on me.

He was so cute!

You may have noticed that I am sitting in a wheelchair, because of the recent knee injury I have been unable to walk as much as I'd like without severe pain. So I could enjoy our trip we rented a wheelchair. I am so thankful we did because it alleviated alot of worries about dealing with pain.

This is my favorite photo- look at this little girl all poofed up!! :)

This one budgie kept climbing into Justin's pocket!

Justin with the would-be-stow-away. They weren't kidding when they told us to check all pockets and purses to make sure we didn't have stow-away birds!

The birds really liked this teddy bear!

So many birdies!

So many birds!

Look how blue he is!

There were also Kookaburras in a separate enclosure. They were very cute!

I LOVE birds so this was a very fun portion of our trip.
More photos to follow of the fish!

Love, Rebecca
