Lazy Summer Days

We have had quite a few days of stuffy heat and humidity around where I live. My siblings are keeping cool with fans while enjoying some Dr. Who.

My brother Brandon bought a tent and set it up in my parents' backyard to see how it is put together.

It has cool windows too!

My nephew was not impressed.

I think Katey enjoys the tent!

Matt man is getting so big!

Sarah fixing Katey's braid while my Mom enjoys the baby.

Caleb is going to be 12 in just a few weeks!

He is growing up too fast.
Uncle Jeremiah!

Everybody wants to hold Collin Levi!

Look at that dimple! Jeremiah will be turning 16 next month. I think he is going to be getting a lot taller!

Chilling by the Riverside

There is a little sandbar near a river in our town.

It's a beautiful and quiet little spot, Justin and I like to visit there in the early mornings.

During this visit we brought breakfast and books to read.

I'm pretty sure the sand was imported to the riverbed from some beach.

Sitting in the sand

Sometimes it's nice to just take a moment to do nothing and forget about life's problems for just an hour even. I'm thankful that my husband loves to do these spontaneous trips to local parks and rivers.

Collin Levi is 6 Months Old!

It's hard to believe that my adorable little nephew is 6 months old now. He is growing up so fast!

Sarah and Collin wanted to have some portraits taken of little Collin Levi to send to the grandparents. We went to the park where I had my wedding photos done.

Look at those chubby little cheeks! It's hard to believe that he had trouble gaining weight at the beginning with that plump face.

He is starting to roll over and scoot around a tiny bit.

Wearing his Daddy's hat

Look at that smile!

Kisses from his Daddy!

How cute is this little family?

We managed to get a small smile from him

Momma's handsome little boy

Happy 6 month mark to my nephew! I can't wait to watch you grow up. Just don't grow up too fast okay?

Independance Day by the Sea

To celebrate the 4th of July this year Justin and I planned a trip to the ocean with my brother and his family.

Apparently a lot of other people also decided to visit the ocean that day! I have never seen crowds this big at the beach before. But to be fair I have never gone on a holiday either.

Collin Levi liked the sand on his toes but was not a fan of the ocean water at all.

Justin hiding from the sun.

It was such a beautiful day!

I can't describe how nice it was to just hang out and have fun with my husband and my brother's family.

Collin grilled up some hot dogs, burgers and corn on the cob for our lunch.

Sarah spoiled us with some delicious potato salad and her home made chocolate chip cookies. We brought the plates, drinks and chips.

Look at all the pretty umbrellas

This is the moment my brother now regrets. He got a terrible sunburn on his back and developed the "Hell's Itch" condition. Within 48 hours of our trip he was in agonizing pain. We all got some sunburns but he got the worst of it.

Justin and I watched the baby for a bit so Sarah and Collin could go swimming and for a walk.

 The beautiful blues

Looks like a lot of people right?

There was EVEN MORE by the entrance

There is Collin and Sarah swimming away. The water was a tiny bit cold but very refreshing. I must have spent over an hour in it.

Collin Levi wanted Justin's book

He rolled onto his tummy!

Apart from the sunburns we did have a wonderful time enjoying the ocean together. I think it is going to be in my top 10 favorite holiday trips!
