The Wedding Photos at Last!

Hey Everyone!

I finally received the photos that I took at my first wedding job!!

I took close to 500, and thankfully some really stood out as being rather amazing!
I was completely floored by how well they turned out, and it was certainly a pick-me-up from how discouraged I had been feeling regarding my ankle injury.
Now, I won't be posting all 500 here -(phew right??lol)

I have started uploading some of them to my online art gallery, if you would like to take a look at them please follow this link- Juream's Art Gallery
Only my favorite shots are currently up, more to come in the future.

I would GREATLY appreciate your thoughts on the photos!!
If everything goes according to plan I have three more photography jobs for this fall, (wedding, family portraits and a maternity shoot)

Now I just have to save up for my first SLR camera!!

Thanks everyone!!

God bless,
~Rebecca

Fed Up.

So my ankle has been odd lately.
I woke up today with a small round and very purple welt on my ankle.
*sigh*

I am so over this injury! It seems far to easily that I re-injure it. Whether getting out of bed, going up stairs, standing on tip-toes to reach something...it seems like I just cannot keep from injuring it.

I have been wearing my gel cast, but it is clunky and cumbersome- It has to be strapped on tightly, and at times it hurts even more with the cast on.

I want my ankle to heal. But it feels like it never will.

God bless,
~Rebecca

Our First Anniversary

So, this month my husband and I made a special trip out to NY to visit our friends, Katy, her husband Jason and cute little Baby Elijah!

It was a long 6 hour trip to get there, we stayed for four days and had an amazing time! Not only was this a trip to spend time with our friends, it was also our "pre- 1-year-anniversary" trip!
Enjoy the photos!!

We arrived late on Sunday night, my photos start from Monday morning!

Justin was our trusty driver, I manned the GPS.

We spent three of the four nights of our trip in this BEAUTIFUL Bed and Breakfast!
This mansion was built in 1838.

This was our room, it was called the "Livingston"

Very neat room!

I loved all the little animal statues!

In the downstairs portion of the mansion

Tea Room

Dining Hall

The Drawingroom

Front Gardens...

So the first morning we accidentally overslept and missed the breakfast at the B&B so we went to a cute little diner!
My amazing buttermilk pancakes!!

That afternoon we visited Katy and Jason  at her parent's home to celebrate Katy's Birthday!!!

One thing you should know about NY is that most of it is CORN CORN AND MORE CORN!

This is probably the best photo I have ever taken!!

In Memory of The Victims

My heart aches so very badly for those trapped in the horrible tragedy of the theater shootings.
Our prayers are with the families and the victims.
God bless, get well, we are praying and thinking of you.

Living My Dream!!

On June 30th I was able to finally fulfill a dream I have had for a long, long time!

I was able to take photos at a wedding as an assistant to a professional photographer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got to use a Nikon D200 SLR camera, I had certain assignments and freedom to take whatever photos I wanted to take!

I was in charge solely of  the bride's Pre-Ceremony, and of the reception tables.
I worked with Mr. Boyington for the ceremony, formals and reception, so he would have alternate angles to choose from.

I took close to 500 photos.

I will be getting a copy of my photos sometime soon, I do not know if I will be able to post some here for you to see. But if I am able to to post some I will!!

I am so excited!!!!

I can't wait to see what will happen next with my photography!

God bless,
~Rebecca

The Wedding of Alyssa K. and Matt E.

The Saturday after we had traveled all the way back home we had to travel again. (but only for three hours instead of 14!!) We were attending the wedding on one of Justin's friends from college- Alyssa. She had sung at our wedding so even though we were very tired from our trip we wanted to go and help celebrate her special day.

Matt read a poem he wrote to Alyssa, it was beautifully written!

exchange of vows and rings

Hooray!!! They are married!!

Look at those smiles!

After the wedding- there's Amanda from "Tale of the Four Brides"

And Yesse and Melissa from "Four Brides" too!

The wedding cake.

These are way to cute!

The centerpieces

Bruce and Amanda!

Kriss and Yesse!

Melissa and Mark,
She is doing great, 17 weeks pregnant!! They will be finding out the sex of the baby very soon!!

Justin and I!!

I thought Alyssa's decor was so pretty!

Look at that gown!!!!

Maid of Honor, Rebecca, she also sang at my wedding :)
She told me that they bought regular spaghetti gowns and used the shawls that came with the dresses to create sleeves and a front panel to make it more modest. Clever!!

Congrats to Alyssa and Matt!!!!

God bless,
Rebecca!!

Myrtle Beach Trip- Friday

On Friday morning we packed up the van and made the 14 hour trip home, it was a long, long, long ride!

Ready to go!

Jessica all snuggled up in the backseat :)

Oh, small story, I had a little Red Panda toy when I was a kid,
I got it for a grab bag gift and almost kept it, but I went ahead and did the grab bag- I got a lousy coloring poster. I always regretted  giving up that little guy. So, when we were down in Myrtle Beach I found this little guy and he became my very own!! Not giving this little guy away!! That's for sure!!! lol

We stopped at Chick-fil-a for lunch!! My first time there!!

Justin reading

*WHY are you taking my picture?????*

Some beautiful mountains we passed- part of the Appalachians

Sunset- and we still had several hours to go. We finally got back home around 1am.

Were we finally able to rest from our trip??
No, we had to be up early the next day for a wedding!!!!!

God bless,
~Rebecca
