Nor'Easter Sandy-The After Math

We did not lose power over the course of the night, and news reports are saying that
Sandy has passed over the state I live in.

As it stands 2 people in my state have died, one being a rescue worker. 2 people are also missing.

Our shores got hit pretty hard and there were mandatory evacuations.

The highways have been reopened.

630,000 homes are still without power.

Although Justin and I live right by a major river, we are on a hill. I think that fact that we were on the hill and there are so many trees prevented us from receiving alot of wind damage to our area. I am not sure of course but it seems like that is a possiblity!

Everyone else safe?

Battening Down the Hatches

So....

it's about 9:30pm. Lights have been flickering, but we still have power (phew)

Winds are whipping and rain is falling, been hearing sirens all day :(

My in-laws lost power, but my parents still have theirs.

Goodnight to my readers, I enabled mobile blogging on my cell so if we lose power I can still tell you all I am alive and safe! lol

All those on the East coast enduring this storm, my prayers are with you all. Be safe!!

Sandy the Nor'Easter -Day 1

Well, it's 11:03am

October 29, 2012.

So I am waiting for this storm Sandy....winds here are picking up, hearing lots of sirens.

Justin is currently at work, but he called and said he will be heading home soon. They will be shutting down the highways at 1pm in my state.

Many schools are closed today, and there are already towns with no power due to just the wind. I am going to try to make a video of updates on the storm.

Last year during Winter storm Alfred we lost power for five days...and lost almost everything in our fridge. We went to go stay with my grandparents because I had just hurt my ankle and couldn't get around so Justin wanted me to have help while he was at work.

I'm battening down the hatches....be safe all my readers!

Updates on My Life

Things have been going fairly well,

My ankle has been so-so, but not too bad. I have been sick on and off for the past few days. Been laying low and working on the photos for Melissa.

We are awaiting the arrival of the storm Sandy. I have a bad feeling we will lose power. We lost power last year during an October snowstorm and we lost alot of groceries in the fridge. Not to mention it was right after I had twisted my ankle and I could barely move the pain was so bad. So this storm is bringing back bad memories.

Other than that I did a senior photo shoot today! Here is a sneak preview!!
