My blood test results came back, and my thyroid is fine,
however my cholesterol is a little high and my hormone levels are really out of whack.
I will be going to see an endocrinologist soon to talk about how to correct this problem with my hormone levels.
Plus physical therapy for my ankle...
And I will be seeing my regular doctor soon about my frequent headaches, migraines and panic attacks...
*sigh*
Let's just say I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired.
My blogging will probably be slowing down while I am dealing with my several doctor appointments, I will try to update as often as I can,
I guess the worst part is just not being able to do all I want to do. Taking care of my home, my husband and even simple chores is hard, just walking in a store is painful. This past Monday I was able to scrub the shower and clean up the bed room and livingroom and then that was it! I was so worn out. I SHOULDN'T BE THIS EXHAUSTED!!!!!
So, yeah. I don't know what I can do. Many mornings I wake up and feel sick to my stomach and shakey.
And for those wondering, yes I have had a pregnancy test done, it was negative.
And for those wondering, yes I have had a pregnancy test done, it was negative.
Justin has been a saint through all of this, cooking and cleaning when I can't and he does it all without a single complaint.
I just want to get better.
God bless,
~Rebecca
Aw I'm sorry, I know what it's like to be so sick. As of right now I've been really really sick - as in "stay home from everything and sleep all you can" sick - for a week and a half, and I am so ready to get better! But yes I went through the whole blood test and thyroid issue thing too. I thought for sure I was having thyroid issues, but it came back normal, and yeah my cholesterol came back high too! I was like "WHAT!" lol! So hang in there dear, keep looking to Jesus - He has a plan through all this and you WILL get better someday!!! (that's what my family keeps telling me! haha!)
ReplyDeleteI hope you get better Sharon and thankyou!!
DeleteI don't post very often here, but I do read! BUT, I wanted to let you know to hang in there, and you are doing the right thing by seeing an endocrinologist. My guess is that now that the problem is known, it will be an easy fix in someone young like you. I feel your frustration and hope you start feeling better soon. That darned ankle better heal, too!
ReplyDeleteYes that ankle better heal!! lol but thankyou Karen for your encouragement!
DeleteLove you girl! Praying so hard for you!
ReplyDeleteThankyou Katy!!! Love you! Tell Elijah his Auntie Rebecca sends love!
DeleteHI Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for you!
I went for two years with an undiagnosed chronic infection (chronic sinusitis) that made me miserable and limited my physical activity to the point where I had to take a full year off from school and work and could not even play in the sandbox (sitting) with my children I spent about 16 hours a day sleeping. With the right diagnosis and treatment, I'm fine again though I have to be careful now in terms of my weight, diet, exercise and getting things treated at the first sign of symtoms! Sounds complicated but it's really not and I'm just so grateful that I can play with my kids again!
If your hormone levels are out of whack you can have many of the "other" symptoms you have - shakes, panic attacks, low energy, etc. My mom's been "fighting" some of those things and found out that not only were her hormones out of whack but she had very low Vitamin D and Magnesium levels too, so I would encourage you to have your levels of vitamins and minerals checked too. Diet isn't necessarily the cause of deficiencies either, so no matter how well you eat, it might just be worth it!
Sorry to write so much - but I want to let you know that you're not the only one who goes through these things and remind you that God knows exactly what He's doing (even if we don't!).
Prayers and Hugs,
Lea
Thanks Lea, were are planning to get everything checked, and thanks for mentioning the Chronic Sinus problem, I had not though of that. My DR when I was a child, and the one when I was a teen were both "prescription only" kind of people and my problems were never dealt with. My Doctors now though are much better and not "antibiotics only"
DeleteThanks again!
I have Thyroid issues and when you said that you are always tired, that was the first thing I thought of. But, blood work doesn't lie so hopefully you get some answers soon!! Praying for you...for peace, for joy, for answers and more energy! For now, rest and take it easy. We have such a great Physician...rest in HIM and trust that He knows best. I know it is easy for me to say, but I have had my share of health issues and they are not fun when you are trying to diagnose and live with them.
ReplyDeletePRAYING for YOU!! :)
If your hormones are out of wack make sure the doctor checks for PCOS, B12, vitamin D and zinc levels. Hope your feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are sick. I will be praying for you.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe that I've ever commented before, but I really enjoy your blog and have been reading your blogs since back around the time you and Justin got engaged.
Rebecca, I'm a long time reader and just catching up on the blog. I'm relieved to hear you'll be seeing an Endocrinologist. I have PCOS without the cysts and have had very similar symptoms. I have done the Metformin therapy and while it is not pleasant (it's just not) it does work a bit. If you are diagnosed with PCOS or Insulin Resistance, I highly recommend the Insulin Resistance Diet to learn more about sugar and carbohydrates and how your body processes them. I'm currently doing Weight Watchers in an effort to reduce my overall body weight to make it easier for some of the regular treatments to work.
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best. The tests are not fun and I hope you get answers soon.
