The two budgies that we took in over Christmas (their family could no longer care for them) have at last found a new home!
We decided to rehome them for several reasons, one being that Charlie would shriek incredibly loud and I suffer from frequent migraines that far too often make me very sensitive to sounds and lights. The only way to get Charlie to calm down was to cover the cage. After a long talk with Justin we decided that rehoming them might be for the best as keeping them covered so often is really not good for them. It was a tough decision for us, but their new owner was very excited to have parakeets again. He had grown up with parakeets as a child and now wanted to have a pair of his own.
I hope they have a very happy life with their new family.
Don't worry- Zoey is still with us! She doesn't even come close to how loud Charlie would get!
