We were on the road by 5:00 AM Saturday morning for the VERY long trip to Myrtle Beach, it took about 14 hours.
We went with my in-laws, Justin and his sister read most of the trip down.
Since I get car sick I couldn't read....
So I spent my time taking photos!

Was the big white building near DC? I think it's the Mormon temple there.

ReplyDeleteI'm a longtime reader of your blog. Your mystery building is the Washington D.C. Temple of the LDS. It's in Kensington, Maryland and is a striking landmark in the area.
As an anecdote, many people think it looks like Emerald City from the Wizard of Oz movie, so over the years "Surrender Dorothy" has been spraypainted on a nearby overpass as a joke.
