Fog and River

Justin and I decided to venture out one early morning. The fog was insanely thick

By 8am it was starting to clear up. We drove down to a river that is right by our home.

Justin set out a camping chair for me and I got to sit and enjoy the sounds of the water.

This August will be our 5th anniversary! I can hardly believe it!

By 9am the fog was completely gone. The rest of the day was quite beautiful.

Waterfall and Baby Geese

A few weeks ago Justin and I went out to a park in the early morning so I could take some photos

It had rained briefly so I was able to get this beautiful shot of a leaf with rain drops on it.

I also found a single crab arm. Oddly enough it was up on a hill and not that close to the river. I wonder how it got up there.

I was busy snapping photos of the river when I spotted a family of geese swimming by. I started snapping photos

To my absolute surprise the geese started swimming closer to shore.

Imagine how excited I was when they actually came up on the shore and I was able to get a few closer shots

I had just watched "Fly Away Home" the day before so I was pretty excited to see some baby geese.

I did get hissed at by one of the adult geese so I backed up a little bit and kept my distance. I didn't want to upset Momma or Poppa Goose.

Look at those adorable little fuzz balls!

I have to say that seeing these baby geese really made my day! What better way to start off your morning?

Matt and Katy's Birthday

 Back during the end of May we celebrated my little brother Matt's and my little sister Kitty Kat's birthday!

Katy's birthday had been the week before but Justin and I were unable to make it to her party so we relit the candles and sang "Happy Birthday" to her too.

Katelyn turned 10 this year. Still hard for me to believe!

Justin and I got Matthew a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle figurine since my siblings all love that show.

We also gave Katelyn her own TMNT figurine.

Lost To a Virus

Hello everybody! 

I have been away from blogging recently due to a virus on my laptop. My husband and I have been trying everything, even brought it to a repair shop but it appears to be a lost cause. The laptop is 7 years old so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that it has finally bit the dust. 

I'm thankful that all of my photos and documents were on my external hard drive so I haven't lost those. I have a LOT of photos and it would be devastating to lose them. 

I am currently using my husband's old laptop for now. I am still able to edit photos but it is also an old laptop and the editing program runs as fast as a snail stuck in molasses.

I hope my readers are all doing well, and that the summer will be a wonderful one for you!

Hopefully I can start blogging more regularly with this laptop of Justin's.

Memorial Day

Every year on Memorial Day my in-laws have a picnic in their backyard. It had started raining that morning so tarps were set up as make-shift canopies.

My brother, Sarah and my nephew came too! I was so excited to see them.

Last year this little guy wasn't quite here yet! His mom was 9 months along and he was born a couple weeks after Memorial Day

After the picnic Collin and Sarah stopped by our place for dinner before they went home.

Our Memorial Day was very nice and I only wish it hadn't been so brutally humid out. To me that is worse than it being hot- I'd rather it be hot instead of humid out.
