Teen Night- Pirate Theme

We recently had our "end of summer" teen event. Some of our former students attended as well, which was really nice because they all headed off to college a week after. We will miss them!

Justin told the teens/attendees that we were holding a pirate dress-up contest. Leah had an impressive get-up!

Leah and Jessica

These two cousins posing for battle (Sorry Jess I think this would end in Leah's favor!)

Jessica wanted to try on the corset

She didn't have it on very long. I was later told that it is very difficult to wear and I believe that!

Setting up teams for the scavenger hunt

Michelle (who let us use her lovely home and huge backyard) handing out maps and instructions.

Running around looking for the scavenger hunt items

One instruction said to make a human pyramid and take a picture of it.

Now I'm not 100% clear on whats going on here but apparently they had to put shaving cream on their face while team members threw cheetos at them. (trying to get the cheetos to stick I guess??)

Ah the crazy things that they make you do in youth group....

Don't mind me...

Joe the pirate taking a soda break.

Chilling after the scavenger hunt.

The Bible trivia contest. If you knew the answer you had to race to the center and grab the bandana.

Who is going to get the bandana??

Oreo contest. Half of the oreos had spices in side. Basil flavored cookie anyone?

Volleyball

Playing pictionary. Sarah's word was "Ironman"

Leah's word was "mashed potatoes"

Jordan drawing "fruitcake"

We had a fun evening with the kids and I am sending huge hugs to the ones who left for college. I wish you the best and hope you have an awesome semester! You will be missed.

Love, Rebecca
