Picnic and Fireworks

My husband's aunt lives right beside a park that has an annual fireworks show for the fourth of July so she has a picnic every year on that evening. 

She goes all out with the food and decorations. It's pretty cute

All these appetizers were almost too cute to eat and ruin the presentation. 

 It was very good though.

Gone Fishing

We had my brother and his wife over for our weekly get-together. Justin cooked up some hot dogs and corn on the cob

I always love seeing my nephew!

After the meal we headed down to a local river because Collin was itching to fish.

He sadly didn't get anything more than mosquito bites.

There is a beaver dam at this spot. Justin saw some beavers there. It's right under that fallen tree to the right.

It's to bad he didn't catch anything. I know how much he loves fishing!

It was a wonderful evening just hanging out by the river. I can't wait to go again! Maybe Collin will catch a fish next time?

Father's Day

For Father's Day this year we went out with Justin's parents and grandparents to a local Italian restaurant. The food there is amazing! It has his Grandma's approval and she is your quintessential Italian Grandma so if she likes it then you know it has to be amazing!

I found a black bear! Joking aside there has been a lot of black bear sightings in my state this summer. There was even one seen in a parking lot!

My in-laws are growing Strawberries this year
