Sarah's Baby Shower

The centerpieces at each table were these adorable little feeder fish! The theme was nautical so these little guys certainly fit!

Katy (and Caleb) were such big helpers getting the tables all set and pretty! We couldn't have done it without them!

A big shout out to my husband for all his help setting up!

Little decorations everywhere

Here comes the Mommy-to-be with her sister and mom!

Caleb was eager to show Sarah all of his hard work!

Sarah with her older sister Jeanette and her mom

All of our guests!

 Playing a game

Mrs. Diane M. gave a wonderful little devotional with a few hilarious stories of her own child-raising years

The cake!

All the little kids that were at the shower were so fascinated and excited by the fish!

Sarah's mom and sister taking pictures!

Sarah's best friend Rebekah was such a big help at the shower and it was awesome to see her again!

Opening the gifts! Don't worry though I'm not posting the pictures of all of them. Way too many!!

A sock monkey hat with matching booties from Justin and I.
I wish I could say that I'm amazing at crocheting but sadly I am not, this is the work of a very talented pastor's wife I know.

My mom however is talented with sewing and crocheting! My mom said she started this blanket the day after Sarah told her she was going to be a grandma!

Minion hat also made by my mom- see I told you she was talented!

Adorable little hat and jacket made by Sarah's Mom. This little boy is going to be so spoiled with such crafty-minded grandmas!

My grandma with one of her grandbabies

Look how adorable this diaper cake is!

Corsage I made thanks to Pinterest.

Mrs. C. made this adorable quilt- look at those bright colors!!

 Grandmas-to-be!

Future aunties. Our nephew is going to be soooo spoiled

A big thank you to all the people who helped us get ready for Sarah's special day. It is so sweet to see how much everyone loves my brother and his wife and how excited they are for the baby to arrive. A good portion of those same people have known Collin since he was born too!

Collin and Sarah Maternity Portraits!

A couple weeks ago I was able to meet up with my brother and his wife at a park to take their maternity portraits. We had to race the sunset with the photos but I think we hit a beautiful light. I hope you enjoy these photos!

*********************************************************************************

Towards the middle end of the photo shoot I was unfortunately stung by a yellow jacket so we had to cut the session short. Later on when we went back to their apartment Sarah made a water and baking soda paste to put on my sting and it actually helped soothe the pain! (thank you to my Mom for her advice!!)

Collin of course wanted to take a photo of Sarah with my big fancy camera

I have a few pictures like this where Collin was goofing off.

Justin was a good sport and carried all our stuff.

I had to snap a few pics of the sunlight through the trees.

The park where we took the photos was setting up for a fair!

I wish this photo was better quality but it is still pretty cute!

December needs to hurry up and get here so I can meet my nephew!!

Love an impatient auntie-to-be, Rebecca

I Am Getting Glasses!

For the past two years or so I have slowly noticed that my vision was getting a tad bit blurry. I didn't think much of it or even actually notice it until recently. I was playing a video game that had words on the screen.  I complained to my husband who was sitting beside me, "This font is terrible! I can barely read this!!" He looked at me and said, "We should get your eyes checked, because it is crystal clear for me,"

So off we went to the eye doctor last week; turns out I have astigmatism and I am a bit nearsighted. When the doctor showed me how I would see with glasses and how I see now I was blown away. Now I really notice the blurriness and it is so obvious- how did I miss that!!?

Once I get my glasses I will have to play "A Whole New World" from Aladdin for the whole day.
:)
I hope I can pull of wearing glasses.

Got any glasses related stories to share? I'd love to hear them!
