Fall, Life and Books!

Hello readers!

Life has been interesting the past two weeks, Justin and I both came down with colds, our dryer broke AGAIN and our kitchen sink is leaking...

Fun, fun, fun!

I also did my little brother's engagement portraits and I'm currently editing them. Collin and his Fiancee are way too cute- my goodness. Brings back memories of my engagement. Ah, the young puppy love stage :) it is simply too cute! I am so beyond excited about my brother's upcoming wedding. Sarah is so very sweet and she fits in with our family incredibly well. They definitely belong together!

Our weather went from gorgeous to yucky. Mildly warm and humid. Personally I want my cool fall days back ASAP! The leaves here are getting so beautiful though, some really rich colors are starting to appear. It still is mostly green with mini explosions of red, orange and yellow here and there.

Justin deep cleaned our home last week and it looks beautiful. Still have a bit more decluttering to do but we are making progress. I am so very thankful that my husband takes pride in running our home while I am dealing with this back pain. He is also an amazing cook and I am so very thankful for that as well!

I have been doing counseling with my pastor on a twice-a-month basis. It has been a blessing. I did try to start going back to church again but the pews are just not good for my back. We are trying to find another option for seating for me. In the mean time I still have the anxiety to deal with. I wish I knew what triggers the panic attacks when it comes to church. I am thankful though for the support of my church family. It is very precious- Don't EVER underestimate what a kind word, note or card to a fellow member of your church can do especially in times of trials or illness. I highly encourage you all to send a card to somebody you know this week.

October is here and I want to do a "Booktober" theme (lame name I know! lol) I will be posting some book reviews during this month and if you would like to write a guest post book review or even write posts for "Booktober" on your own blog email me! (my email is on my Contact Me page) I have a pre-written book interview if anyone is interested :)

I hope you all have a great day!

Love, Rebecca

 Clown fish and Anemone tank

Sturgeon fish- such a lovely shade of yellow!

The sea horses are always a personal favorite of mine,

They are just so dainty and cute.
After we left the Aquarium we went to Mystic Pizza. It was Justin's first time eating there.

We grabbed a sundae at Twisters and enjoyed the riverside

That wraps up all my photos from our anniversary day-trip! It was a fun, beautiful and exhausting day and I'm so glad we went!

I love this man

Mystic Aquarium- Part1

For our 3 year wedding anniversary Justin took me to Mystic Aquarium. I have been wanting to go there for a very long time now so I was very excited about our day trip there!

The Beluga whales were doing little things like spinning around and it was so cute!

A sea lion!

In the outdoors area of the aquarium there is a marshlands exhibit. There are many water lilies, cat tails, lily pads and other pretty plants.

Can you see the turtle on the log?

It's fun to look for the various fish, frogs, turtles and birds that live in the Marshlands exhibit

Look at that yellow underbelly!

These African Penguins were very active when we stopped by.

I LOVE this photo, this little penguin swam up close to the viewing glass.

There is an underground area with giant windows to let you see inside the penguin tank.

It was awesome seeing little kids interacting with the penguins.

Such a magical experience

My handsome husband :)

The Aquarium also features an aviary with lots of different parrots.

Look at this adorable Budgie!

We were given these little sticks with millet seeds attached to the ends to attract the brds

This mother holding her kid's teddy got a few feathered friends

It took a while but a parakeet eventually landed on me.

That's pure joy on my face right there

You may have noticed that I am sitting in a wheelchair, because of the recent knee injury I have been unable to walk as much as I'd like without severe pain. So I could enjoy our trip we rented a wheelchair. I am so thankful we did because it alleviated a lot of worries about dealing with pain.

This is my favorite photo- look at this little girl all poofed up!! :)

This one budgie kept climbing into Justin's pocket! There were signs near the exit about checking pockets and bags for stow-aways.

They weren't kidding when they told us to check all pockets and purses to make sure we didn't have stow-away birds!

There were also Kookaburras in a separate enclosure. They were very cute!
I LOVE birds so this was a very fun portion of our trip.

The Cow Nose Ray touch tank

The rays feel like petting a slightly slimy surface with sand grit.

More photos to follow of the fish!
