Our Easter

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your family and friends! This year I was a little sick but I was able to spend some time with my husband's family.

My in-laws made a delicious Easter lunch and it was so pretty out we had our meal outside on the porch

It was very windy but not cold at all.

Justin's aunt made lemon cookies!

Look at that beard!

My mother-in-law made a perfect, crack-less cheesecake

Because their birthdays were in a couple days (today is my father-in-law's birthday!) we celebrated after lunch.

Happy Birthday!!

My mother-in-law cutting the cheesecake. It was delicious!

We gave her a Dr. Who necklace for her birthday

Aunt Stephanie's perfectly-lemon bread.

Some of the little cousins

the wind eventually destroyed these tulip blooms unfortunately

 Pansies!

At one point we had a sudden rain burst for about 10 minutes. Shadow seemed to enjoy it!

Justin reading the instructions to a new board game

 After dinner relaxing

Look at that sunlight through the petals. So pretty!

I love when sunlight illuminates plants

the adorable-even-if-grumpy Nimbus

Playing Small World

They had fun

Easter always feels like the official kick off to spring (and seasonal allergies)
I hope you all have a wonderful week!

My Family Visited!

Due to some of the kids being unwell my family was unable to see our new place on moving day. After everyone was feeling better they joined me for lunch on a Saturday.

I gave out bunny ears to the kids

They all liked the new place and the paint colors

Mom gave me a hand with the dishes

Matt seems to have gotten taller!?

Katelyn found my summer hat

 Too cute!

Later that day I found Oliver sleeping on my tablet for some unknown reason

You would think the pillows or blankets would be comfier??

Let The Unpacking Begin!

A few days after we moved in Justin was able to get our table set up. It is a little tight but it's manageable.

Justin is enjoying the glass top stove

Oliver on the table...even though he isn't allowed on the table

We didn't have enough counter space for the toaster so this metal rack was our solution

Before we set up the rack we had the toaster in front of the microwave temporarily. The green boxes are temporarily holding our Tupperware.

Bedroom is getting there. Like our mismatched nightstands? :)

The blue chair will be moved out of the living room eventually

How we decided to set up our tv. I wish it could be centered but we didn't want to block the window. So far it seems to be perfectly fine in the corner.

Oliver enjoying a window near the couch. He can lounge on his blanket while he looks outside.

One downside to our new place is the bathroom. It is incredibly small. We have had to be creative with storage.

Oliver started chewing this poor plant! We have moved it up high where he can't eat it anymore. I hope it will recover

Getting books onto the bookshelves has helped a lot in making this new place feel cozier

I'm very picky on how the books are arranged

 working on filling this shelf

the pantry closet became another catch all for boxes. Slowly clearing it out

The second bedroom is looking much better after several days of unpacking!

Our rabbit Percy turned 4 years old this month!

Oliver snoozing on the window sill.

I'm eagerly looking forward to the end of the unpacking.
