It's the First Day of Winter!

For the first time in quite a few years now we actually have snow on the ground during the first official day of winter. Hopefully it will stick around until Christmas Day!

This past weekend my husband went to our church's young adult Christmas party. I was unable to go due to him sharing his cold with me the day before. Today is the first day I'm starting to feel a bit better. I do know a 24 hour stomach bug is going around now so I am hoping and praying  I don't catch it!

During the party there was a ginger bread house building contest. This is Justin and Collin's house

The candy dots garage door is what makes this for me 😆

My sister-in-law Jessica and Co. made a pretzel stick log cabin! (they won the contest)

Justin's cousin Mike and his friends had a ginger bread house with a fruit rollup roof.

Devin's team made a house with candy like bricks and wafers for a fence.

Now that we are in the final week to Christmas Justin and I have been finishing up wrapping and decorating. Oliver generously offered his "help".

My Christmas cat!

"I know you love this basket Oliver, but it's part of a present"

Some of my Christmas decor

So Christmassy!

Justin won this gift basket of goodies at his workplace's Christmas party. Oliver was obsessed with the plant.

Very obsessed. He managed to knock it down after a few minutes.
Poor Mr. Plant has since been moved.

Look at him acting all innocent!

Well, I hope you all are staying healthy and are having fun with your last minute holiday preparations.
Wishing a safe journey to all who are traveling for the holidays!

Merry Christmas,
❆ Rebecca ❆

Oh Christmas Tree!

We have been busy getting ready for Christmas around here!

On Thanksgiving evening my cousin and youngest siblings helped decorate my family's tree.

Collin Levi "helped" too!

Uncle Jeremiah decorating the tree with his nephew

They did such a great job!

I just love Christmas trees!

Collin Levi smiling for the camera

He is such a ham!

Caleb being oh-so-cute and helping our little cousin hang the ornaments.

The finished product!

We also went to Justin's aunt's Christmas tree party.

His cousin Paul worked for a few hours trying to get FIFTEEN strands of lights on this tree. I think they added even more after we left.

The tree. If you stand next to the tree you can actually feel the heat coming off the lights 😨

Look how bright the tree is behind us!

So many lights.

December is Justin's late Grandma's birthday. We miss her. I love this photo of his grandparents.

Due to that lovely cold virus going around we have yet to fully decorate our tree.

We did get the tree set up and the lights on it. Hopefully we can do the ornaments soon.

Oliver was very intrigued by the lights.

He kept sniffing the individual bulbs. It was amusing

All lit up!

Speaking of Oliver it's officially been one years since Justin brought him home.

In 12 months time he managed to not only steal our hearts but also three blankets and a rocking chair.

I hope you all are well and have a wonderful Holiday season!

Love, Rebecca

Thanksgiving 2016

I hope all my readers who celebrate Thanksgiving had a lovely holiday! Look at this chalk art my sister drew for us, she is slowly mastering the art of fonts now. The leaves are my favorite part though. So cute

I tried to get a photo with my 4 youngest siblings

We all managed to squish into frame :)

Collin and Sarah brought their puppy to join the festivities. I couldn't get over how big he had gotten since the last time I saw him.

Brutus is not only the cutest little pup around - he also is rocking some very cool eyes.
It's caused by a mutation called Heterochromia Iriduim. I wonder if his eyes will stay different colors as he grows.

My dad is definitely not melting by this cute puppy...

Mom enjoyed the little pup too, even though he wanted to nibble her shoes!

Katey and Collin Levi! It was so exciting to celebrate Collin Levi's first Thanksgiving. It's crazy to think in a few weeks he will be turning 1 year old.

Matt confusing the puppy with his RC car.

Hey it's me! And Levi, and Caleb!

My nephew wasn't a fan of kisses

Justin brought his N64 again this year, they played Starfox and Mario Party

 Sarah and Levi

My dad in the kitchen getting things ready for lunch!

Mom opening up her homemade cranberry sauce

My dad told me to make sure I got a photo of this beautiful bird he made

 Time for the meal!

Gathered around the table

The cool table!

Collin Levi!

After our very delicious meal the boys hopped back onto the games. Justin loved sharing his childhood games with my brothers.

Here my dad is totally not falling in love with a sleeping puppy in his lap

Justin and I!

Katelyn made us some delicious cupcakes! She followed a recipe from one of her favorite Youtubers! (Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes by Rosanna Pansino)

Mom cutting the cheesecake

My sister-in-law Sarah made a scrumptious cheesecake

My grandma made a cheesecake tart

My grandparents stopped by in the afternoon to say hi

 Trying on silly glasses

Katey and Caleb looking adorably hilarious!

Matt and I showing off our real glasses

Collin found an old pair of blue tinted glasses he used to own, so he decided to break out the old trumpet and attempt to play a few notes

Brandon decided to join in...it was very loud

Grandpa and Katey

Justin enjoying the puppy

Oh and notice my dad totally not watching the puppy... He isn't getting a dog people!

Totally not...
